'Sea shades with figures' (2024), pasted paper on A3 paper
After completing the mini-seascapes I wanted to return to something more abstract, while still keeping the postcard format. This led to the 'Scapes' series, some of which are included here. The sea/coastal element kept coming through, however, just as it has done in other, larger abstract pieces. This 'permeable' border between abstract and figurative is something I find fascinating to explore.
